复旦大学中外新闻传播理论研究与方法暑期学校

在信息全球化与新传播技术迅猛发展的背景下，新闻传播理论与研究方法，已成为21世纪的重要学科领域。依据《教育部关于实施研究生教育创新计划、加强研究生创新能力培养、进一步提高培养质量的若干意见》（2005年1月）的精神，由国家教育部批准，复旦大学研究生院和复旦大学信息与传播研究中心、复旦大学新闻学院接受教育部设立“研究生教育创新计划”委托开办“中外新闻传播理论研究与方法”暑期学校，成为文科第一批获批开设的暑期学校之一。

“中外新闻传播理论研究与方法”暑期学校，是全国新闻传播学界的同类暑期学校中创办最早、历史最为悠久者。至2024年暑期学校已举办二十期，参与过的博士研究生和青年教师1500余人，为中国新闻传播学研究培养了优秀的后备人才。“中外新闻传播理论研究与方法”暑期学校，是全国新闻传播学科研究生教育的知名品牌。“暑期学校”之所以长盛不衰、享有很高声誉，在于我们不断根据传播实践和学科的变化，大力改革教学内容和教学方式。2017年获复旦大学研究生教学成果奖一等奖。

Fudan University Summer School on Communication Theory and Research Methods

With the rapid development of global information and communication technologies, journalism and communication theory and research methods have emerged as prominent academic disciplines in the 21st century. In line with the Ministry of Education’s “Suggestions for Implementing the Innovation Plan for Graduate Education, Enhancing Graduate Students’ Creative Abilities, and Improving the Quality of Education” (January 2005), and with official approval, Fudan University launched the Summer School on Chinese and International Communication Theories and Methods. This initiative is jointly organized by the Graduate School of Fudan University, the Center for Information and Communication Studies, and the School of Journalism. It was among the first summer schools in the humanities to be approved under the national Innovation Plan for Graduate Education.

The Summer School on Chinese and International Communication Theories and Methods is the earliest and most long-standing program of its kind in the field of journalism and communication studies in China. As of 2024, it has held 20 sessions, training more than 1,500 doctoral students and early-career scholars from across the country. Over the years, the summer school has become a well-recognized and respected platform for advancing graduate education in journalism and communication.

Its continued success and strong reputation are grounded in the program’s commitment to innovation—constantly reforming its curriculum and teaching methods in response to the evolving landscape of communication practices and academic research. In recognition of its achievements, the summer school received the First Prize for Graduate Teaching Excellence at Fudan University in 2017.

本次暑期学校为第21期，主题为“媒介学讲座”。主要内容大致分为两个板块：第一板块：媒介学的历史与理论：媒介学的发生及历史；媒介学的关键概念；媒介学的理论框架与研究方法。第二板块：媒介学的研究议题与经验场域：媒介沟通史、城市运作与治理、城市文化与文明、智能游戏、数字记忆、智能新闻、公共艺术、播客、平台、自动驾驶、软件智能体、具身智能等。本次暑期学校共7天的课程，面向的学生主要是新闻传播学专业的博士研究生和青年教师。其中博士研究生（已修完博士基础课程）的人数占总人数的70%。

This Year’s Focus (21st Edition): The theme of the 2025 program is “Lectures on Mediology.”

The one-week course is structured around two main sections:

The first section, “History and Theory of Media Studies,” covers the emergence and historical development of media studies, key concepts, and theoretical frameworks and research methods in the field.

The second section, “Research Topics and Empirical Fields in Media Studies,” includes topics such as the history of media communication, urban operation and governance, urban culture and civilization, intelligent games, digital memory, smart news, public art, podcasts, platforms, autonomous driving, software agents, and embodied intelligence.

The Summer School will last for 7 days and is primarily designed for doctoral students and young teachers in the field of journalism and communication. Doctoral students (who have completed their core doctoral courses) account for 70% of the total number of participants.
